How I controlled my computer with hand gestures
Last week, we have seen gesture based navigation being used on a Kerala tourism project. How about getting something similar to control your computer and phone? Apart from the comfort factor of controlling your PC siting on your couch, the cool geek value of showing it to your friends and family is going to be really worth trying it out.
Here are two free software, which can be used to control your computer/smartphone by using hand gestures. You will be needing a web camera on your PC or a front facing camera on your smartphone/tablet for these software to work.
Flutter
Flutter is available for Windows and Macintosh as native applications. There is also a chrome extension available, which can be used by Linux users. It will help to perform Play, Pause, Next, Previous functions on media players including VLC media player, YouTube etc.
NPointer
NPointer is available only for Windows and allows you use hand gestures to control mouse pointer. You can also use head movements to control mouse pointer, which makes it suitable for disabled people too.
