Gmail: Search for mails on a particular date/month
Many times you could have scrolled through endless list of mails in Gmail to get messages on a particular day or month. Here is a simple solution that can make your searching more effective.
On the right side of Gmail search bar, there is a drop down. Click on it.
The drop down has a date range option towards the bottom and you can use this field for specifying a particular date or month.
Similarly, you can use keywords to perform this action quickly. For example, the search term

after:2010/1/14 before:2013/5/28will search for messages that are sent/received between 14 January 2010 and 28 May 2013.
