How to change VLC audio output to 5.1/7.1?
VLC is a great media player and has been used by many people. This article will help you to configure VLC media player to work with mono, stereo, quad, 5.1 and 7.1 speaker sets.
- Go to Tools -> Preferences. ( or you can press Ctrl+P to bring up preferences.)
- At the bottom left corner of the preferences window, click on All under the Show settings section.
- Now expand the Audio tree, then expand the Output modules tree and then select DirectX.
- Select your Output device and Speaker configuration from the drop down menus.
- Click on Save and restart VLC.
